Born in 1988, October the 6th, Darina Ablogina is a graduate of the Historical and Contemporary Performance Department of the P. I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (professor: Olga Ivusheikhova, Moscow, Russia) and Baroque and Contemporary Flute Department (tutor: Paul Wahlberg) of the University of Tromso (Tromso, Norway). Darina continued her education at the Conservatoire de Musique de Geneve under the guidance of Prof. Serge Saitta (baroque flute) (Geneve, Switzerland). She is an awardee of several international competitions in Bulgaria, Lithuania and the Netherlands. Darina participated in workshops taught by such prominent musicians as Benedek Csalog, Hans-Joachim Fuss, Barthold Kuijken, Andreas Scholl, Anne Smith, Felix Renggli, Andras Adorjan and Oleg Khudyakov. After completing an assistantship course at the Moscow Conservatory Darina joined "Studio for New Music" Ensemble founded by Prof. V. G. Tarnopolski and conductor I. A. Dronov. In 2016 Darina entered the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, the education and research centre for Early Music located in Basel, Switzerland, where she is currently studying under Marc Hantaï (traverso, romantic flute), Johanna Bartz (renaissance traverso). In 2018 Darina took part in American Bach Soloists Festival in San-Francisco. She became a recipient of Early Music America Summer Scholarship and a member of society “Early Music America”. In 2019 Darina performed in concerts of the MAfestival in Brugge (Belgium), Festival Oudemuziek in Utrecht (Netherlands) and was presented by IYAP (International Young Artist's Presentation) in the Laus Polyphoniae festival in Antwerp. Darina Ablogina regularly performs at concerts organized by Moscow Philharmonic Society and the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts. Darina is both a solo and orchestra performer. She has played in numerous chamber and regular orchestras and ensembles including “Studio for New Music”, “Kymatic” (Contemporary Music Ensemble), “Trio Rosa Mundi”, “Trondheim Barokk”, “Nordic Baroque Orchestra”, “Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment”, “PHAEDRUS”, “The Veil Ensemble”. Darina performs pieces by various composers of the XVI-XXI centuries.
